The
shortcuts on the following pages are current shortcuts for Word
2002. Nearly all of the shortcuts work with previous versions
of Word. Word 2002 has eliminated a few less often used tools
from the Standard toolbar in favor of adding new feature buttons. Further toolbar items can be found by right-clicking
on any toolbar showing on the Word screen and choosing the
appropriate task's toolbar.
Most of
the keyboard shortcuts listed here are quick shortcuts Microsoft has
assigned to common tasks. More keyboard shortcuts for menu
items can be performed using the [Alt] key. Simply
press and hold [Alt], press the underlined letter of the menu
you wish to access, then press the underlined letter(s)
corresponding to the menu task you wish to complete. For
example, the keyboard shortcut for viewing a document in Normal
view would be, [Alt] + [V] + [N]:

note that you can customize the tools displayed on Word toolbars by
adding and removing buttons. Choose the drop-down arrow
following the buttons on the toolbar, then select Add or Remove
Buttons and Customize:
